Deplatforming Politicians and the Implications for Europe

As part of their GDC-funded project, Ronan Fahy, together with Judith Möller and Rocco Bellanova, wrote a blog post in response to the highly controversial suspension of Donald Trump’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts and its implications on freedom of expression in Europe. They briefly discuss how upcoming regulatory reform in Europe may reign-in this platform power over online expression.

Event: Further Exploration of Europe’s Digital Services Act, Stanford Cyber Policy Center

With the success of the first webinar on 27 January 2021, the Cyber Policy Center at Stanford has organised a follow up session on 10 February 2021. Joris van Hoboken, together with Daphne Keller and Guillermo Beltra, will join the Cyb er Policy Center for another session that will allow for more in-depth conversations about the proposed EU Digital Service Act and Digital Markets Act.
