Regulating Disinformation in Europe: Implications for Speech and Privacy

Posted on by

DTDM researchers Joris van Hoboken and Ronan Fahy had an article published in the latest volume of the UC Irvine Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law. The article is entitled “Regulating Disinformation in Europe: Implications for Speech and Privacy”, and examines the ongoing dynamics in the regulation of disinformation in Europe, focusing on the intersection between the right to freedom of expression and the right to privacy. An earlier draft of the article was presented at the 2020 Digital Legal Talks conference, jointly-hosted by the University of Amsterdam, Tilburg University, Radboud University Nijmegen and Maastricht University, as part of the Digital Legal Lab collaboration.
