DTDM Talk with dr. Rodrigo Vallejo Garretón
The Digital Transformation of Decision-Making (DTDM) research initiative at the Amsterdam Law School is delighted to host a DTDM Talk with our colleague dr. Rodrigo Vallejo Garretón, on digitisation and transnational private regulation, on Friday, 20 May 2022, at 16.00 – 17.00 (on Zoom).
Dr. Rodrigo Vallejo Garretón is Assistant Professor in Private Law at the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on the interactions between economic law, socio-political theory, and regulatory policies in national and transnational governance. Some of his most recent publications include, “After Governance? The Idea of a Private Administrative Law”, in P. F. Kjaer (Ed.), The Law of Political Economy: Transformations in the Function of Law (Cambridge University Press); and “The Private Administrative Law of Technical Standardization”, in Yearbook of European Law.
The DTDM meeting will begin with a short talk by dr. Vallejo on his recent work around the EU approach to transnational private regulation and private ordering; and how it relates to digitisation and delegation of regulatory functions to private actors, such as online platforms. The meeting will then be opened up for questions and discussion.
